Groundwork Providences works with it’s numerous partners in various ways to help develop, protect, and perserve the city’s natural environment.
- Our Sustainable Landscaping job training program was developed in partnership with employers, representatives of the University of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscaping Association.
- The adult job training curriculum results in certification from the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscaping Association and has been endorsed by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.
- Groundwork Providence’s Brownfield Remediation Job Training Program was developed in partnership with representatives from the environmental industry, community groups, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, the Rhode Island Department of Health The Environmental Protection Agency and Innovative Safety Services, Inc. (ISSI) and the Community College of Rhode Island.
