At Groundwork Providence we work within the community to present diverse, meaningful programs where children and adults learn how to be stewards of the environment. Programs include:
- EPA-funded job training in Environmental Workforce Development
- Green Teams – summer youth programs sponsored by the Miriam Hospital,
- Ground Corps – providing our job training graduates with hands-on experience in the remediation of polluted land and the installation of urban green spaces.
- Trees 2020 – an initiative to increase Providence’s tree cover to 30% by the year 2020, sponsored by the Helen Walker Raleigh Trust.
