Green Teams
Groundwork Providence’s Green Team Program provides youth development and employment opportunities for high school students in inner-city areas of Providence.
Students are hired for an eight week period to participate in environmental education programs and community service projects.
Green Teams foster the personal growth of each team member by enabling them to be positive and proactive role models within their own communities.
The program provides students with:
- Summer employment
- Environmental education
- Active environmental advocacy
- Peer outreach
- Community stewardship
