For over 20 years Groundwork Providence’s community tool bank has served Providence’s residents and organizations in making the city a healthier, cleaner and more prideful place to live.
Since 1983, Groundwork Providence has been lending tools and gloves and providing trash bags, to groups who are participating in outdoor cleanups of public spaces, neighborhoods and business districts.
The objectives for the community tool bank are to provide residents with the tools and technical assistance to sustain healthier neighborhoods by providing reliable and free access to garden and landscpaing tools.
Groundwork Providence’s community tool bank has been a touchstone for thousands of Providence residents in their efforts to clean up neighborhoods.
